- Cookies & Similar Technologies: Used to maintain sessions, remember preferences, and secure your account (see Section 7).
- Security Verification Data: Data processed by Cloudflare Turnstile during login and signup to confirm you are not an automated bot.
2.3 Information From Third Parties
- SMS/Number Providers: Data exchanged with our upstream OTP/number providers (such as 5SIM and GrizzlySMS) necessary to fulfill your number rental order.
- Payment Processors: Transaction status and confirmation data from payment gateways such as Razorpay, PayPal, and card processing partners.
- OAuth Providers: Basic profile information (name, email) if you choose to sign in using Google.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To create, maintain, and secure your FoxOTP account.
- To process orders for virtual/temporary phone numbers and deliver received OTP/SMS codes to you.
- To process payments, issue refunds, and maintain accurate payment and order history.
- To communicate with you regarding orders, account activity, service updates, and support requests.
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and violations of our Terms of Service.

4. OTP & Phone Number Data
FoxOTP's core service involves relaying verification codes (OTPs) received on temporary phone numbers sourced from our provider partners. Please note the following important points specific to this data:
- Temporary phone numbers are not permanently assigned to you and may be recycled or reassigned to other users after your order expires.
- SMS/OTP content received during an active order is displayed to you and may be temporarily logged on our servers for order verification, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention purposes.
- You are solely responsible for the lawful use of numbers rented through FoxOTP. We do not review or control the content of third-party services you choose to verify using our numbers.
- Because temporary numbers may have been previously used by other individuals, we cannot guarantee that a rented number is entirely free of prior association with other accounts on third-party platforms.
- OTP/SMS message logs are retained only as long as necessary for order support and are purged in accordance with our data retention schedule (see Section 9).
5. Payment Information
FoxOTP supports multiple payment methods, including UPI/Razorpay, card payments, and PayPal. We take payment security seriously:
- We do not store full credit/debit card numbers, CVV codes, or UPI PINs on our servers.
- Card and UPI transactions are processed directly by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment partners (Razorpay and our card processing provider). We receive only transaction status, order references, and limited billing metadata needed to reconcile payments.
- PayPal transactions are handled through PayPal's official REST API; we receive confirmation and transaction identifiers, not your PayPal login credentials.
- Card payments processed in currencies other than our base currency use a buffered exchange rate; the applicable rate at time of purchase is recorded with your transaction for accounting purposes.
- Payment and order history is retained in your account dashboard for your own reference and for tax/accounting compliance.
6. Cookies & Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Keep you logged into your account securely (session cookies).
- Remember your preferences and settings.
- Support Cloudflare Turnstile bot-detection during login and signup.

- Account data is retained for as long as your account remains active, plus a reasonable period thereafter for legal and accounting purposes.
- Order and payment history is retained to comply with financial record-keeping obligations and to resolve disputes.
- OTP/SMS message logs tied to expired orders are retained only briefly for support purposes before being purged.
- If your account is deleted or banned, we may retain limited records as required by law or to prevent abuse of the Service.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information via your account profile settings.
- Delete your account and associated personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
